Sandwich Questionnaire
It's time for another fun, get-to-know-me, blogging challenge. This one was set by Zachary Kai
I love the versatility of the humble sandwich and it's my goto lunchtime meal.
How Many Sandwiches Do You Eat Per Week?
When I worked in an office, I'd say seven. One every weekday at work and then two at home during weekends for lunch. Now that I'm exclusively home-based I quite often skip lunch as I've had a late breakfast. Maybe three sandwiches per week now.
When Do You Eat Sandwiches?
Mostly lunchtime - which can vary wildly in time depending on what I am doing. I also sometimes have soup and a sandwich as an evening meal.
What's Your Go-To Sandwich Order?
If I'm buying a shop-bought I'd go for a busy sandwich. A BLT, or a tuna-mayo and all the salad.
At home it's almost always cheese, nothing else. Just good strong cheddar cheese. Yum.
Do You Prefer Hot or Cold Sandwiches?
Both are great. If hot, I'm partial to a tuna, mayo, and red onion toasty. Otherwise, my go-to Cheese - hot or cold.
What's Your Favorite Type Of Bread?
Home made. We bake all our own bread at home. It's not made with 25+ ingredients from supermarkets, but simple and much better quality.
White bread is my fav. I'm not a fan of a plain wholemeal loaf as it's quite dry. We quite often bake half and half white and wholemeal. I also enjoy a seedy bread.
Do You Like Condiments?
No. Keep it simple.
What About Pickles?
Again, no. I want to taste the main ingredient.
Sweet Or Savory?
Savoury, always. What's a sweet sandwich? Oh, wait... Like chocolate spread. No thanks!
Do You Cut Your Sandwiches?
Of course, I'm not a savage. Diagonally, so that I have nice sharp corners. That's where i take my first bite.
What's The Worst Sandwich Crime?
Soggy bread, or unbuttered bread. Most definitely a wet filling.
In the UK we have something called Coronation Chicken. It's a mess that looks like vomit. You can get it on a sandwich too. It makes my stomach churn at the thought of it.
What's Your Ideal Sandwich-Eating Environment?
Definitely outside, having a picnic.
Why Sandwiches?
So versatile, filling, endless possibilities, and quick to prepare.

- Alex has no tolerance for a seedy tomato
- James likes his sandwich on the train
- Thomas is a huge fan and even has a graphic to help us.
- Britt is all about the pickle
- Zachary too likes pickle, but also all the condiments
- David is more of a wrapper! But definitely a grilled-cheese fan
